Allan Nathan Stewart

Allan Nathan Stewart, age 82 formerly of Southport, passed away on February 27, 2014. He was born in Valley Stream, New York and most recently had been a resident of Tampa, Florida. He was a graduate of Villanova University and served as a military officer in the US Navy during the Korean War. Allan began his successful sales and marketing career with General Electric, followed by key executive positions held at Proctor Silex, Timex, GTE, and his own company MiCom Associates, based in Southport. He was an avid golfer and as a working member of Connecticut Golf Club was able to fulfill his passion for the sport of golf and business management. He was a former parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Fairfield and a former member of the Fairfield Rotary Club. He is survived by his daughter, Linda-Marie and her husband Barry of Sarasota, FL; a son Randall A., a grandson Callahan, both of Philadelphia, PA and his brother Patrick K. Stewart of San Diego, CA. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Claire Marie Stewart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
