Amy was born in St. Louis Missouri to Ronald and Ruth Fels on January 31, 1964. She attended Southern Missouri State University where she received a Fine Arts and Graphic Design degree (BFA). She worked in Providence, RI for Gilbert Design Associates for 3 years. Amy moved to New York City and worked with Marcus Ratliff for 10 years. Amy and her husband Timothy were married on December 20th, 1986. Together, Amy and Tim started their own business called Light Blue Studio, a photography and design firm located in Fairfield CT. On December 31, 2001 Amy gave birth to a son, Ezra Pyle.Amy was considered one of the top designers in New York City doing design work for some of the best-known Art Galleries in the U.S. including Spanierman Galleries, Hirschl and Adler Galleries, Berry Campbell Gallery, and Debra Force Gallery as well as many others in New York City. She was a talented and artistic graphic designer. Her mother Ruth Fels preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Timothy Pyle, son Ezra Pyle, father Ronald Fels, brothers Mark & Ruth Fels and Daniel & Julies Fels, sister Jennifer Fels, aunts and uncles along with many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Amy passed away at Bridgeport Hospital after a five-year battle with breast cancer. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Amy's life will be held on Saturday August 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2810 Long Ridge Rd., Stamford, CT. Friends and family are invited to a reception immediately following the service at the Pyle residence, 129 Valley View Rd., Fairfield, CT. RSVP 203-260-3170 via text or voice message.
