Anthony (Tony) Forte, 72, of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully on October 5, 2022, with his loving family by his side.
Tony was born in Weehawken New Jersey; son of the late Anthony Sr. and Joan (Folino) Forte went to St. Peter’s University and was in the U.S. Airforce reserves.
As a former resident of Fairfield, Tony was employed by General Re Life Corporation, formerly Cologne Life Reinsurance in Stamford for over 34 years. Tony retired in 2014 as Vice President and Chief Underwriter of Individual Products Division. His former colleagues have always remembered Tony with admiration and respect.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife Lynn, of nearly 45 years, devoted sons Joseph, Michael and his wife Erin, loving grandsons Bryce and Brody. Tony is also survived by his sister-in-law, Phyllis Boscaino and her husband Cosimo, Brother-in-law Alan Locascio and his wife Daneen; nieces Brooke (Bob) Mavretich, Christine Locascio, nephew Nicholas (Jamie) Locascio and several cousins.
Although Tony had no siblings, he was considered a “brother” to many.
In 2016, Tony and Lynn became residents of Naples, Florida, where Tony became an avid golfer and bocce player. More recently he took an interest in Pickleball. Tony loved to travel and he took pleasure in planning that next trip with his family. Our beautiful memories will last forever.
Tony will always be in our hearts as a devoted and loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday afternoon, November 13th, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT.
