Arline R. Finnerty

Arline Finnerty passed away on June 29, 2020. She enjoyed living at Whitney Glen since November, 1994 and had such wonderful neighbors. I would especially like to thank Jane, Mitch and Sandy who were exceptional and so helpful to my mom during the last year.

My mom was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 18,1927 and enjoyed life for 93 years. Unfortunately her husband John passed away too early at the age of 67. My parents moved from Brooklyn to Seaford, NY and raised their three children, Arline, Jackie and Lillian in 1957. She had six grandchildren, three of which are my sons who each had such a special and wonderful relationship with her. I was extremely fortunate to have her move to Westport when I did in 1994. She and I were not only mother and daughter but also best friends. She was so involved with my sons and I am so fortunate for all the wonderful time we all spent together.

We had a lovely Memorial Funeral prayer service at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, NY on July 1. I would especially like to thank Dick Miller of Spear Miller Funeral Home in Fairfield, Ct. for handling my mom's funeral with such wonderful and caring service. He did everything I requested with such grace and dignity which is not easy during Covid.
