Audrey Enright Collins

Audrey Collins of St Petersburg FL passed peacefully of natural causes with family by her side on January 8, 2018 at Addington Place at College Harbor. Audrey was born in Brooklyn NY on January 19, 1920 the only child of William and Mabel (Ford) Enright. She grew-up in New York City with her many O'Meara and McEnery cousins and life-long best friend Kathleen (O'Leary) Kelly. Having graduated from Mount St. Ursula Academy she attended Good Council College in White Plains. During WWII she volunteered with the USO in NYC. On February 15, 1947 Audrey married the love of her life Joseph Francis Collins, Jr in New York City, residing there before moving to Waldwick and Mahwah, NJ; West Hartford, CT; Armonk and Katonah, NY; Bridgeport and Trumbull, CT and finally St Petersburg, FL in 2015.

She was pre-deceased by Joseph, her husband of 36 years, and is survived by six children William (Sandy) of Tierra Verde FL; Elizabeth "Cassie" Thompson (Ed) of Tierra Verde; Joseph III (Jane-Ellen) of Fairfield, CT; Marie "Mimi" Burri (Chris) of Tierra Verde FL; Michael (Mary) of Brookfield, CT and Megan Franco (Duffy) of Norwalk CT.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She will be waked at Spear-Miller Funeral Home in Fairfield, CT on Sunday January 14th between 3pm and 7pm.

A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield, CT on Monday January 15th at 11:00 am.
