Barbara Morton Bodington, age 90, of Bedford, NH, beloved wife of the late Frederick John Bodington, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Born in Bridgeport the daughter of the late Albert and Frances Morton she had been a Marlborough, MA resident for many years. She was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy Lauralton Hall in Milford, CT, class of 1944, attended the University of Bridgeport and graduated from Whitney School of Art in New Haven, CT. She was employed by Southern New England Telephone as a service representative for many years prior to raising her two sons. Mrs. Bodington was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who delighted in time spent with her family. Survivors include her two loving sons, Leigh Bodington of Hooksett, NH and Dean Bodington of Lisbon, CT; four grandchildren, Justin and Gregory Bodington and Jamie and Jesse Bodington. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield. Friends may gather Friday at 12:00 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield to visit with the family prior to proceeding to the cemetery.
