Barbara Ann (Falco) Disbrow

Barbara Ann Disbrow, age 74 of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021.  Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Violet Falco, she had been a city resident for most of her life.  A graduate of Notre Dame High School, Barbara worked as an X-ray technician for Dr. Caserta and then worked in that capacity at Park City Hospital as well as Bridgeport and St. Vincent’s Hospitals.  She was then employed at Orthopedic Sport Medicine as a transcriptionist and legal secretary.  Survivors include two beloved sons, Michael Scott Disbrow and Matthew John Disbrow of Bridgeport; a sister, Betty Nelson and her husband, David of Milford and two nieces, Melissa Nelson of Milford and Jennifer DeForge of Naugatuck. Barbara was loved and appreciated by anyone who was fortunate enough to have met her.   Friends may greet the family Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.  A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 5:30 p.m.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), 501 Front Street, Norfolk, VA 23510.
