Barbara B. Northcott

Barbara B. Northcott, age 93, of Trumbull, formerly of Fairfield, beloved wife of 72 years of the late Robert J. Northcott, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 22, 2017 in her home. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Charles and Ann Lapinski, she had been a Fairfield resident for 65 years prior to moving to Trumbull. She attended Bridgeport schools prior to marrying her beloved Robert. Mrs. Northcott was a charter member of the St. Pius X Ladies Guild. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and her trips to their home in Vermont. Survivors include her two loving daughters, Noreen Northcott Berarducci and Bobbie Northcott both of Trumbull; a sister, Dolores Buckley and her husband Robert of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Sue Sutcliffe and Frances Lapinski, and a brother, Frank Lapinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly in the Faith Center Chapel at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Tuesday (Today) from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
