Barbara Ann Rutka, of Fairfield Ct. Born in Cumbola , Pennsylvania on December 23, 1933, passed on to heaven, November 15, 2015. She leaves behind a loving son who was also her great nephew William Voight, whom "was her blonde little boy" she had always dreamed of conceiving. Also his wife Deborah, her great nephew Chris Voight, his wife Stacey, a sister in Florida, Joanne Trotta, and her son Joseph Trotta and his wife Kimberly along with their sons Joey and Tyler. Also a sister in Fairfield, Geraldine Cirella, and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as some lovely friends, and some extended family. Barbara lived life on her own terms, and didn't ever hold back on voicing anything she believed in. She absolutely adored the slot machines at any one of the casinos in the area, the wonderful people she met along the way, and her beer. There are many lessons we can take away from Barbara and her life journey, one of which is, learn to love and let go, while we're still around and when you let your pain run free to grow and reign, it burns a little of our light out every single day. So many good things come to those who love relentlessly. Barb, you will be forever in our hearts, we love you, and we will never forget you. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield.
