Bonnie Abel, loving wife of the late Alexander J. Abel passed on December 5th. She was born in Chadron Nebraska in 1922 and moved to Lincoln after her family lost their farm due to the great dustbowl. She met and married her husband Al in Lincoln Nebraska and while he served as a bombardier in Korea she was raising her son Doug and her daughter Nancy. She eventually moved with her family to Fairfield CT in the late 50's and developed her network of friends via the local Elks Club, # 2220 where she became a charter member of the Emblem club. She was known by all as an excellent seamstress and a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had the greatest sense of humor which contributed to her longevity and ability to live to a rich age of 98.
She is survived by her son Doug Abel and his wife Ann of Stamford as well as her daughter Nancy Malstrom and her husband Ken of Myrtle Beach,SC. She had 5 grandchildren; Dustin, Kim, Sara, Dylan, and Spencer and 5 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and anyone who ever met her.
