Bret C. Thomas

Bret C. Thomas, age 57, formerly of Westport, beloved husband of Kris C. Thomas, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 29, 206 at Bridgeport Hospital following a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. Born in Tulsa, OK the son of the late Jack and Dorothy Thomas, he had been a Westport resident since 2001. Bret received a B.A. Degree from Southern Methodist University. His career in corporate finance spanned many years where he served in executive positions at Xerox and most recently, John Deere Financial in Des Moines, IA. Bret devoted all of his time to his family who were the most important thing in his life. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved and admired him. Survivors in addition to his loving wife Kris include two loving and devoted children, Madison and Griffin Thomas; a brother, Josh Thomas; two sisters, Cindy Thomas and Carrie Walker; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Burial will be private.
