Carl B. Kordek, 76, of North Haven passed away on August 2, 2024 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband to Kathleen McLoughlin Kordek. Carl was the son of the late Jean and Bill Kordek and son-in-law of the late Betty and Norbert McLoughlin. 

Carl was an auto body Technician for over 50 years.He enjoyed spending his time hosting family gatherings. His happy place was with his wife and children and working in his home garage. 

In addition to his wife Kathleen, he is survived by his beloved and perfect children; Jennifer (John) Rice, and Carl M. (Ashlyn) Kordek. His greatest joy has been his 3 grandchildren, Amelia, Owen, and Isaac Rice. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra Hayes, and Anita Kordek. He will be remembered by his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Margaret Grabeck, Richard and Gerri Kordek. 

The family wishes to to thank the doctors and nurses in the Yale MICU department for their exceptional care, especially nurse Destiny.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Paul VI Parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 2819 Whitney Ave Hamden on Friday August 9 at 10AM.Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
