Carl V. Larsen

Carl V. Larsen, 84, longtime resident of Stratford passed away surrounded by family on July 7, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Judy) Larsen and son of the late Peter and May Larsen.

Carl was a longtime Systems Analyst at Sikorsky where he earned the respect of his colleagues. He enjoyed spending time with family, working on his home and yard, fishing, cooking, taking family photos, as well as his trips to Disney World and Newport with Judy.

Carl was a member of First Congregational Church of Stratford and served on the Board of Benevolence. He was part of the church’s original team that prepared meals for those in need when the Lord’s Kitchen program first started.

Growing up, Carl loved having pets and his affection for pets never waned. In more recent years, Carl couldn’t contain his excitement when his son Carl and his wife, Anne, brought home their first puppy. The two immediately became best buddies and both looked forward to their many visits.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons and their families: Carl W. and Anne Larsen, Todd Larsen and Elaine Grant, grandchildren Jonathan, Nathaniel and Elizabeth, and his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Dody Larsen. He was predeceased by his sister, Betty Flaucher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society

Private family services were held. A Memorial service will be held at a future date.
