Carlo A. Petrillo, age 91, of New Rochelle, NY, beloved husband of Beatrice (Rossi) Petrillo, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the home of his son-in-law in Fairfield. Born in the Bronx, NY the son of the late Pasquale and Attelia Petrillo, he had been a New Rochelle resident for the last 35 years. Mr. Petrillo served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe. He worked as a butcher earlier in his life, then became an agent/broker for the Prudential Life Insurance Company. Following retirement, he worked at Alleva in Little Italy. Survivors in addition to his loving wife Beatrice include three cherished grandsons, Andrew, Alex and Adam Stanco of Fairfield; a son-in-law, Bart Stanco of Fairfield; and a niece Gail Grosso of Long Island. He was predeceased by a loving daughter and son, Cynthia Stanco and Carlo A. Petrillo, Jr. and siblings, Pat, Mary and Gloria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:15 a.m. meeting directly at St. Thomas Aquinas Church 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Entombment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery (Rosewood Mausoleum), Hartsdale, NY. Friends may call Sunday from 1-5 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
