Carol Ann Scholl

Carol Ann Scholl, age 80, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 24, 2022.  Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Scholl, she had been a Fairfield resident her entire life.  She graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Bridgeport.  Carol was a dedicated Kindergarten teacher at Driscoll School in Wilton for over 35 years where she was beloved by her countless students and their families. She lovingly cared for her mother during the latter stages of her life.  Carol enjoyed spending time with her family at her summer house on Lake Waramaug; and cherished her role as great-aunt to her adoring niece and nephews.  She was a life-long parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  Carol will be dearly missed by her two nephews, Eric D. Scholl, his wife Cathy and their children, Matthew, Alexandra, Jack, Charlie and Tommy all of Fairfield, and Bob Scholl of Tucson, AZ.  She was recently predeceased by her brother, Donald C. Scholl in October 2022.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post, Fairfield.  Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may greet the family Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.  In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in Carol’s memory to St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
