Catherine R Dunn

Catherine R. Dunn, age 91, a lifelong Fairfield resident, died peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Astoria Park Nursing Home in Bridgeport where she spent the last 7 months. Born in Fairfield, CT on Oct 28, 1923 Catherine was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield. She was a retired longtime dedicated employee of Warnaco and Harvey Hubbell. Catherine was a kind & gentle person known for her loving smile, witty comments and commitment to family as well as her baking & photography skills. Survivors include her brother James (Bud) Dunn and his wife Kim of Trenton, NJ; Sister-in-law Theresa C. Dunn of Fairfield, CT and many nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents James & Hilda Dunn, three sisters Margaret Gallagher of Hamilton, NJ, Lucille O'Day of Fairfield, CT & Eileen Read of Hawthorne, NJ., two brothers Thomas Dunn & Robert J. Dunn Sr. both of Fairfield, CT. The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Astoria Park for their kind and loving care of Catherine for the past 7 months. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 11 AM with interment to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday May 8, 2015 from 9:30- 1030 AM in the Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield.
