Catherine M. Sheehan

Catherine M. Sheehan, (Kaky) age 81, of Fairfield, formerly of Stamford, beloved wife of the late John J. Sheehan, Jr. (Jack), passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Born and raised in Stamford the daughter of the late Richard and Catherine McTigue, she had been a Stamford resident for many years prior to moving to Fairfield ten years ago. Mrs. Sheehan was retired from the New Canaan Board of Education. She delighted in time spent with her family and especially loved baking for her grandchildren. Catherine always looked forward to her daily walks. Survivors include her six beloved children, Jack Sheehan of Fairfield, Gerard Sheehan and his wife Felita of Bethel, Daniel Sheehan of Valrico, FL, Mary Kate Sheehan of Fairfield, Stephen Sheehan and his wife Kristine of Trumbull and Shannon Boldrighini and her husband Richard of Fairfield; eight cherished grandchildren, Meghan, Erin, Colleen, Kevin, Jane, Jack, Charlie and Samantha; a sister, Joan Walsh; a brother, Richard McTigue, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Jack, she was predeceased by her grandson, Luke Daniel Sheehan, a brother Thomas McTigue and a sister, Cecilia Kolenda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will be private in St. John's Cemetery, Darien. Friends may call Sunday from 3-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
