Cecilia Adele Lundgren

Cecilia A. Lundgren, age 86, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late W. Robert Lundgren, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family Monday, November 6, 2017. Born in Bar Harbor, Maine, the daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Higgins, she had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. Mrs. Lundgren graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas Grammar School and Roger Ludlowe High School. She worked for over 20 years in the Fairfield Tax Department retiring as Deputy Assistant to the Tax Collector. A devout Roman Catholic, Cecilia always enjoyed attending Mass and other church functions at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Survivors include three beloved children: Robert P. Lundgren and his wife Debbie of Granville, MA, Patrice M. Lundgren of Danbury and Holly A. Lundgren of Fairfield; two cherished grandchildren, Dylan and Megan Lundgren, and two nieces, Pamela Cook and Cheryll Higgins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased her son, Charles E. Lundgren and a brother Edward S. Higgins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
