Christine S. Hobbs

Christine (Christy) S. Hobbs, age 72, of Bridgeport, passed away with her loving daughter by her side on Friday, January 31st, 2020. Christy graduated from Roger Ludlow High School in 1965. She later went on to obtain her associates degree from the University of Bridgeport. She loved spending time reading a good book and getting out to the beach to soak up some sun. Christy will be remembered by all who loved her as someone who knew how to make others laugh no matter what they were going through in the moment. This special ability to put a smile on others faces will be fondly remembered by family and friends. Her kind heart extended beyond just compassion for people, but also for animals of all kinds. She is survived by her beloved daughter whom she adored, Olivia Hobbs of Fairfield, her brother Thomas Hobbs (children: Peter, Frederick, and Brian) of Fairfield, her sister Elizabeth Hoffman and brother-in-law Jay Hoffman (children: Erin, Katie, Philip) of Southbury, as well as a dear friend, Janet Coughenour of Westport. Christy is predeceased by her parents Olivia M. and Thomas S. Hobbs, and her brother Eric M. Hobbs. The family would also like to acknowledge the outstanding care provided for the past eight years by Christy's CNA, Elizabeth Echeverri. Her empathy and considerate nature made Christy feel like she was being cared for by family rather than another medical professional.
