Christopher Patrick Doyle

Christopher Patrick Doyle, age 35, of Richmond, VA, passed away November 13, 2023.  Christopher is survived by his beloved parents, Kathleen Auger of Tequesta, FL and Timothy Doyle of Lubec, ME; his brother, Ryan and his wife Allison Doyle of West Palm Beach, FL; his best friend and partner, Danae Dobler of Richmond, VA as well as several aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who all loved him dearly.   He was predeceased by his beloved step-father, Jimmy Nardiello; grandparents Ed and Adeline Doyle and Jim and Anna Auger.

Christopher Patrick Doyle was an articulate, insightful, empathetic and loving human being. He was deep in his thoughts, emotions and spirit. He was stubborn, a fierce fighter and an intense competitor who would rise to the occasion and give it his all in any situation, despite the opponent and always in spite of his odds.

Christopher was a talented writer, a nasty lefty pitcher with an un-hittable curve, a skilled airborne infantryman, a gifted southpaw boxer with a stunning left hook and a dedicated telecommunications lineman who wasn’t afraid of heights. But most of all, he was a loving son, a brother, a significant other and a fast friend to the end. He was undeniably a well-rounded, handful of a man’s man, whether you liked him or not.

At the end of the day, his demons got the best of him but he chose to live his life the way he wanted - on the edge, fast and furious. A quote from Anthony Bourdain, one of Christopher’s favorite writers hits the nail on the head and sums up his life:

"As you move through this life and this world, you change things slightly; you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life--and travel--leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks--on your body or on your heart--are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt."
RIP CPD, you are an amazing man, very much loved and sadly missed.

Friends may greet the family to celebrate Chris’s life on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
