Christopher Lubrano, age 60 of Hamden, formerly of Fairfield, beloved husband of Linda (Wilkins) Lubrano, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Chris moved to Fairfield when he was 10 years old. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes grammar school in Queens Village, NY, and graduated from Holy Family School and Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield. Chris's first job in high school was working at the McDonald's in the traffic circle in Fairfield where he developed many good friendships. He always looked forward to returning there to enjoy a cheeseburger and fries. Chris worked for the last 35 years for Pepperidge Farm and was currently working at their Bloomfield plant. He enjoyed bowling and collecting science fiction memorabilia. He loved animals, particularly cats. He and Linda adopted cats over the years and always looked forward to visiting the local animal shelters. Chris will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his family, his sense of humor and his romance with Linda. Survivors in addition to his loving wife Linda include his beloved mother, Grace (Meranti) Lubrano of Fairfield; six beloved brothers and sisters: Michael Lubrano and his wife Shirley of Chelmsford, MA, Timothy Lubrano of Fairfield, Dianne Baxter and her husband Jeff of Fairfield, Nicholas Lubrano and his wife Laurie of Fairfield, Debra Desing and her husband Kevin of Milford, and Julie Moulton and her husband Dave of Bristol; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Michael Ernest Lubrano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
