Christy Elliott Vaporis

Christy E. Vaporis, age 22, of Fairfield, beloved daughter of Cynthia (Link) Vaporis and Craig Vaporis, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 in Miami, FL following a courageous battle with addiction. Born in Norwalk, Christy had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. She was a 2012 graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School. Christy was a gifted and creative artist and won awards for her artwork. She also had a wonderful sense of fashion. She loved spending time with her friends, enjoyed the beach and her trips to Cape Cod. She loved animals and pets of all kinds and will be lovingly remembered for her keen sense of humor. In addition to her parents, Christy will be missed by her loving brother, Cole Vaporis of Fairfield; maternal grandmother, Joyce Lockwood and her husband Bill of Maggie Valley, NC; maternal grandfather, Walker Link of Fairfield; paternal grandmother, June Vaporis of Fairfield; and four uncles, Jeff Link and his wife Ellen of West Haven, Michael Link and his wife, Gail of Monroe, Wayne Vaporis and his wife Cindy of East Haven and Drew Vaporis and his wife Anna of Fairfield. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Pierre Vaporis; an aunt, Cathy Gross and an uncle, Todd Vaporis. Friends may greet the family Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 3-6 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A funeral service will conclude the visitation at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. David DeVries officiating. Interment will be private.
