Concetta (Connie) Bellitto

Concetta (Connie) Bellitto, age 97, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018. She was the wife of the late Ben Bellitto. Born in Philadelphia to the late Joe and Jennie Grosso, she was raised and educated in the Bronx, NY prior to relocating to Fairfield in 1953. She was employed by the CT Superior Court at Bridgeport, in several capacities for 27 years. She is survived by her sons, Robert, Sr. and his wife Sandy, Rick and his wife Eileen, grandchildren, Robert Jr., Donna Lawrence (Chris), Erick, Brian and Amanda; Great-grandchildren, Bridget, Robert James, Kathryn, Christina & Christopher Lawrence; a sister, Rose Fiermonte; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Stephen Bellitto and great-grandson Joseph Bellitto, her brothers, Mike, Joe, Ralph, Tom and John. The family extends it's gratitude to the Carolton Hospital West Wing nurses and aids for the compassionate treatment provided to her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Friday (Today) from 5-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
