Dagfinn B. Vindheim

Dagfinn B. Vindheim, age 94, of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Aslaug Vindheim, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at Greenwich Woods Healthcare. Born in Borhaug, Norway the son of the late Daniel and Bensilia Vindheim, he came to the United States in 1956 and settled with his family in Brooklyn in 1957. He soon became a proud Brooklynite and loved his time spent in New York. Mr. Vindheim was a talented machinist in the marine repair industry. He relished his role as a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who delighted in time spent with his family. Survivors include two beloved children, Daniel Vindheim and his wife Judy of Shelton and Marit A. Sadaka of Brooklyn, NY; four cherished grandchildren, Jennifer A, Sadaka, Sonja A. Vindheim, Daniel A. Vindheim and his wife Jillian and Jason R. Sadaka and his wife Erin Morrison Sadaka. He was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield with the Rev. Kun Sam Cho officiating. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
