Daniel Joseph Forte

Daniel Joseph Forte, age 51, of Fairfield, beloved son of Frank and Anne Jane Forte, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Stamford, Dan had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. He was a 1984 graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He was a man of tremendous faith, and an active parishioner of Holy Family Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, CCD teacher, Altar Server supervisor and a participant in the Emmaus Group. Dan was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was very active in CT Special Olympics, serving on the State Board. He loved sports and was NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved music of all kinds. He will be lovingly remembered as a kind and generous man who was always willing to help others in need. Survivors in addition to his parents include a beloved sister, Kristin Adams of Fairfield; three nieces, his Goddaughter, Lauren Adams, Jessica and Stephanie Adams; aunts and uncles, Robert and Susan Coughlin, Patricia Coughlin-Mowson, Joseph (his Godfather) and Robin Forte and William Forte; his Godmother, Janet Sia; his best friend, Peter Dolan and many cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Frank V. and Laura C. Forte, Bernard J. and Rita Anne Coughlin; an uncle, Brian W. Coughlin and a cousin, Kevin M. Coughlin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at Holy Family Church, Fairfield. Interment will be private. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
