David Russell Bachman, age 80, of Easton, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2015 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 20, 1934 in Bridgeport to Joseph and Catherine Bachman. He graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School, Tulane University and received his MBA from Rollins College. After many years in the corporate world he fulfilled a lifelong dream and opened his own business, Arms & Munitions and the Fairfield County Indoor Shooting Range in Monroe. A 43 year resident of Easton, he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Signe, his four children, Daivd Jr., Kurt, Sandra and Pamela, five grandchildren and his older brother, Joseph. He was an active member of the Easton Lion's Club for many years, as well as being a lifetime member of the Fairfield County Fish and Game Association. He volunteered with the Easton Fire Department, always running a game booth at the yearly carnival. His interests included collecting guns, hunting and camping. He was a lover of dogs and trained them to hunt by his side. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 2 PM, in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield.
