Debra “Debbie” Lee Lyman 60, of Stratford, CT entered eternal rest on July 21, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her husband Kevin of 25 years by her side after a lengthy illness.
Born Debra Lee Booth to Patricia M. Booth and the late Raymond P. Booth, of Stratford, on March 14,1963 at Bridgeport Hospital. Debbie was a 1981 Graduate of Bunnell High School. Debbie loved to play softball and her dad would occasionally catch for the team. Debbie volunteered a short time with Stratford EMS, worked at Bradley’s at the Dock Shopping Center in Stratford with her mom and and in 1992 she worked as a Special Officer for the Fairfield Police Department. She had been an Emergency Medical Dispatcher for Ace Ambulance, Bridgeport Ambulance and AMR in New Haven where she met the love of her life. Her last job was working for Sodexo as a Cafeteria Assistant at Bunnell High School.
Debbie loved life, and spending time with her husband, their two dogs, Nikki and Bailey. Debbie’s favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved baking for the holidays and to give bake goods to her family and friends.
Debbie was a dedicated loving wife to her husband for 25 years, always helping her husband with snow removal or mowing the lawn. She loved to surprise him with a smoothie from Robek’s or a Cappuccino from Starbucks.
Debbie was predeceased by her father Raymond P. Booth; grandparents, Harold and Ethel “Marge” Duffield, Raymond and Lorette Booth; and mother-in-law Marjory Lyman.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Kevin; her mom Patricia Booth of Stratford; her sister Tracy Banks(Michael) of Middletown; father-in-law, Donald Lyman of North Franklin, CT; and brother-in-law Keith Lyman of Coventry, CT; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew.
Everyone is welcome to celebrate Debbie’s life on Saturday August 26, 2023 from 10am to 11am to greet the family and service following at 11am at Black Rock Church, 3685 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT
