Diane P. Wyckoff, age 85, of Bridgeport, formerly of Fairfield, passed away, Sunday, September 26, 2021 in her home. Born in Bridgeport, to the late Arthur Laubscher and Ruth Plancon, she was raised by her mother and stepfather Ken Plancon in Fairfield where she resided for many years prior to her recent relocation to Bridgeport. In her younger years, Diane was a talented actress, dancer, artist and choreographer. She was a member of the Actor’s Equity. As the years progressed, she created the Fine Art Academy in Fairfield for children and teens among other artistic programs as well. Last, but not least, she was an author. Diane was also a Librarian at ABCD in Bridgeport, where she led the artistic programs for children. Diane was recognized for all her work and accomplishments with inclusion in “Who’s Who of American Women”. She was a member of First Church Congregational in Fairfield. Survivors include two daughters, Anne Schelmetic of Southbury, CT and Sara Vaughan of Fairfield, IL; three sons, John “JG” Wyckoff of Bridgeport, CT, Chris Carson of MA and Peter Wyckoff of Wenham, MA; a brother, William Plancon of GA and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be private and burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
