Donald E. Larsen, age 81, of Fairfield passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport the son of the late Thorwald and Edna Larsen, he had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. Donald attended Roger Ludlowe High School and Babson College. He worked as a Specifications Engineer for Handy & Harmon for over 30 years and was a commercial real estate owner. He was an avid sports fan and a talented athlete, particularly enjoying tennis, golf, and playing on his company softball team. A true outdoorsman, Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and boating his whole life. His greatest passion was fresh water fly fishing. He was a lifetime member of The Pequot Fish and Game Club and member of Trout Unlimited. He was also a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church where he sung in the choir for many years. All of these pleasures he enjoyed with his children and grandchildren who carry his love forward. Survivors include three beloved children, Paul Larsen of Black Rock, Daina Coon and her husband Christopher of San Clemente, CA and Deborah Larsen of Black Rock and three cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua and Elyia Coon. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Larsen.
