Donald C. Scholl

Donald C. Scholl, age 87, of Mashpee, MA, formerly of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Mavis L. Scholl, passed away, Monday, October 17, 2022.  Born in Richmond Hill, NY, the son of the late Charles and Virginia Scholl, he was raised in Fairfield and had been a Mashpee resident for 25 years.  He was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and the University of Connecticut.  At UConn, Donald was a charter member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.  Donald retired as a Data Engineer for Norden Systems and later opened a successful Bed & Breakfast with his wife, Mavis in Kent, CT. He enjoyed skiing from a young age and met his future wife on a ski trip.  Donald was an avid Shuffle Board player and was an active participant in the Shuffle Board league where he resided. He delighted in time spent with his family and his grandchildren on Cape Cod. He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Bob Scholl of Tucson, AZ and Eric Scholl, his wife Cathy and their children, Matthew, Alexandra, Jack, Charlie and Tommy all of Fairfield,  and a sister Carol Scholl of Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield.  Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours have been omitted.  In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in Donald’s memory to the Norma Pfriem Breast Care Center, 267 Grant Street, Bridgeport, CT 06610.
