Dorothy C. Senia

Dorothy C. Senia, age 92, of the Lordship area of Stratford, passed peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Born to George and Elsie (Burke) Scott in Hawthorne, New Jersey and raised in Upstate New York, Dottie later moved back to New Jersey where she met her husband, Joseph W. Senia. Six years after they married, they settled in Lordship to start their family. She became a member of Our Lady of Peace church in Lordship and attended for many years and sang in their choir. She also volunteered for the Fathers' Club in the parish. After Joe's retirement, they both became avid cruisers, sailing to places such as the Caribbean, Alaska, and Central America. Dottie retired from Avco-Lycoming after working there for over 20 years. In her later years living at Sturges Ridge of Fairfield, she made many new friends and proudly became the community Wii Bowling Champion. Dottie is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law in Bridgeport, a sister in Upstate New York, a brother in Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A service will be held at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home Friday, February 7, 2020 at 11:30am with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull.
