Edward Lesko

Edward Lesko, age 95 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of over 67 years of Lillian Fazekas Lesko passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in New York State, Mr. Lesko moved to the Black Rock section of Bridgeport in 1927 living right next door to the Black Rock Congregational Church in which he was active for 83 years serving as a youth leader, teacher and Church Treasurer. He served in the US Army during World War II in the European Theater with a combat engineering unit. Following his discharge, Edward was employed for 40 years as Sales Manager for the former Brink and Cotton Company of Bridgeport. Survived by his loving wife Lillian, he was predeceased by two sons, Paul and David Lesko. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Watermark at 3030 Park Avenue, Bridgeport with the Rev. James Marshall officiating.
