Eileen Flanagan Brown

Eileen Flanagan Brown, age 77 of Southport, beloved wife of the late James B. Brown, III, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (Fitzgerald) Flanagan, she had been a Southport resident since 1979. Eileen was a graduate of Sacred Heart School in Philadelphia. She was a devout Roman Catholic and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her four beloved children: James B. Brown, IV and his wife Meg of Fairfield, Kathleen (Katie) Murphy and her husband Ken of Clifton, VA, Dennis M. Brown of Fairfield and Stephen C. Brown and his wife Eileen of Fairfield; 11 loving grandchildren will miss their "Leenie": Molly, Maggie, Marykate, Grace, Connor, James, Elizabeth, Lexie, JB, Caroline and Kelly; Eileen also leaves behind her dear companion, Jack O'Connell of Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
