Elinor A Heck

HECK, Elinor. The family of Elinor Hughes Heck mourns the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She died suddenly and peacefully at her home in Southport, CT on July 16, 2015. She will be remembered by all for her devotion to her family, her selfless contributions to helping others, her inner strength and constant gracious poise, her love of people, her zest for life and parties, her laughter and wit. She smiled for 90 years and the twinkle in her eye will brighten our lives forever. She was married in 1947 to the love of her life, Harold D. Heck who predeceased her in 1996 and she is survived by their three cherished children, Karen Izzo (Anthony) of Fairfield, Harold, Jr. (Jaquett) of Hobe Sound, FL and Ellen Lynch (John) of Southport. Also surviving are her eight adored grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. A private funeral Mass will be held in Fairfield on Saturday, July 25.
