Elizabeth "Betsy" (Hunt) Walsh

Elizabeth H. Walsh (Betsy), of Fairfield, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 two days shy of her 82nd birthday.  Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Louise (Wheeler) Hunt she had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. Betsy was a member of the first graduating class at Andrew Warde High School.  She retired as an Executive Assistant for the Bodine Corporation.  While at Bodine, she was actively involved in the Barnum Festival.  In her younger years, Betsy loved to play tennis.  She loved music of all kinds and dancing.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and knitting and was a devoted NY Giants fan.  She will be sadly missed by her three beloved children, Pamela O’Brien of Fairfield, Elizabeth (Tish) Walsh of Fairfield and Edward W. Walsh and his wife Christina of Stratford; eight cherished grandchildren, Lyndsay, Kailey, Kevin, Mary-Kate, Amanda, Michael, Bridget and Kendall and two loving great-grandchildren, Madison and Ella.  She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Richard (Dick) Hunt.  A walk-through visitation will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.  A prayer service officiated by the Rev. Victor Martin will conclude the visitation.  Interment will be private.
