Estelle Herold Flack, "Stellie," of Southport, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, just two months after her 90th birthday. She was the daughter of Melora D. Herold and Paul J. Herold. The loving mother of three daughters, she is pre-deceased by her daughter Margaret T. Flack and is survived by her daughter Elisabeth B. Flack, "Lisa," and Lisa's husband Carl Wieberg, "Chuck," of Norwalk, as well as her other daughter Pamela B. Flack, "Pam," of Bridgeport. Her sister Elizabeth H. Graham, "Betsy," of Westport is also deceased. Surviving sisters of Stellie's include Melora H. North of Orleans, MA, and Deborah H. Swigart of Washington, Conn., along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A long time resident of Fairfield, Stellie graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield and worked as an office assistant until her retirement. Writing poetry and reading it were a passion not to be surpassed by a love of music, literature and art. Also of importance was being a member of political and fund raising organizations. Most of all she loved being with her family. We wish to thank the staff of A Wing at Fairview of Fairfield in Southport for the excellent and attentive care she received over the years while residing there. A memorial service will be at Trinity Church in Southport at 12:30 PM Saturday, October 1. Burial will be private.
