Evelyn P. Hollywood

Evelyn P. Hollywood, age 96, of Fairfield, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 6, 2016 at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Cournoyer Prochaska, she lived in Fairfield for most of her life. Evelyn was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and Smithcroft Beauty School. She was the former owner of the Charm Beauty Bar in Bridgeport. Mrs. Hollywood was a member of the Bridgeport Business and Professional Women's Organization, past president of the of the Bridgeport Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association, past president of the Italian Community Center Ladies Guild, a member of the Port 5 Naval Veterans Association Auxiliary and was a past president of the Fairfield Emblem Club #389. Evelyn was predeceased by her husbands, Louis W. Donovan and Harry (Buddy) Hollywood; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy Prochaska Farina and Alfred (Fred) Farina. Survivors include a devoted and loving niece, Elizabeth (Betty) Farina of Fairfield; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Capodagli and a brother-in-law, Bernard Capodagli, and members of the Donovan family. Additionally Evelyn is also survived by a step-daughter, Derborah (Debbie) Hollywood, a step-son, James Hollywood; granddaughters, Lauren Mudry and Margaret Hollywood and a grandson, Matthew Mudry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Swim Across the Sound, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606.
