Florence E. Greenawalt

Florence E. Greenawalt, age 83, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Greenawalt, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in McAdoo, PA the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Baranosky, she had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. Mrs. Greenawalt was a member of the Fairfield Women's Club and was an avid tennis player. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who delighted in time spent with her family. Survivors include three beloved children, Thomas P. Greenawalt, II and his wife Elizabeth, Mark Greenawalt and his wife Sara and Donna Sedgwick and her husband Scott all of Fairfield; five cherished grandchildren, Rachael, Marc and Danielle Greenawalt, Scott and Jessica Sedgwick; two brothers, Edward and Frank Baranosky; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
