Frederick John Bodington

Frederick J. Bodington, age 90, of Bedford, NH, beloved husband of Barbara Morton Bodington, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 3, 2015. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Frederick and Ella Bodington, he had been a Marlborough, MA resident for many years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a commercial pilot and trainer. Mr. Bodington graduated from the University of Bridgeport and retired from the Digital Equipment Corporation where he was a senior quality engineer. Survivors in addition to his loving wife Barbara include two sons, Leigh Bodington of Hookset, NH and Dean Bodington of Lisbon, CT; a brother, Herbert Bodington of Trumbull; four grandchildren, Justin and Gregory Bodington and Jamie and Jessie Bodington; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield. Friends may gather Monday at 12:00 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road to visit with the family prior to proceeding to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
