Frederick Charles Galpin

Frederick Charles Galpin, age 85, of Trumbull, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015. Born in Bridgeport, CT on November 10, 1929, he was predeceased by his parents Frederick "Ted" and Pauline Galpin of Bridgeport and sister Lillian Autuori of Fairfield. He is survived by his wife Josephine Belmonte Galpin, son Ted Galpin, son John (Patricia) Galpin, daughter Claudia (Eric) Majewski; and three grandchildren Andrew Majewski, Caryn and Lindsay Galpin. Fred graduated Central High School in 1947 where he met his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years. He was the Director of Information Systems at Park City Hospital in Bridgeport for many years. An exceptionally talented trumpet player, he was in several bands and played at Carnegie Hall in NYC. In addition to be an avid Yankees fan, his hobbies were building model ships, doing crossword puzzles in ink, golfing, bowling and driving cross-country. Funeral services will be held privately.
