Gertrude Mary Healy

Gertrude M. Healy, age 89, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Healy, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Lowell, MA, she had been a Southport/Fairfield resident for over 50 years. Mrs. Healy was a retired Real Estate Broker for Dunlap-Hibbs Realtors. She was a member of the Patterson Club, the Gaelic American Club and a parishioner for many years of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Mrs. Healy always looked forward to wintering in Pompano Beach, FL. She was an avid golfer and delighted in being on the water, going to the beach and fishing. Throughout her life, Gertrude always enjoyed her pets. She will be sadly missed by her beloved daughter, Megan A. McNamara and her husband John of Fairfield, and her four cherished grandchildren, J.P., Libby, Tara and Annie. She was predeceased by her brother Bill Collins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 S. Pine Creek Rd., Fairfield. Interment will be private. Friends may greet the family Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield.
