Harold R. (Musty) Kuhn, Jr. age 63, of Naugatuck, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury. Born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, Musty had been a Fairfield area resident for most of his life. He graduated Andrew Warde High School in 1970 where he was a talented member of the track team. Musty was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and always looked forward to opening day each year. In his younger years he played on various Fairfield recreation softball leagues, bowling and pool leagues and could always be found on the Bocce court. His later years were marred by complications from Diabetes, but despite those set-backs, Musty still enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved gardening and created the beautiful garden surrounding Parish Court in Fairfield. A task he did solely on his own and without any compensation. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Black Rock and played in various sports leagues there also. Survivors include his beloved parents, Harold and Gloria Kuhn of Port Royal, PA; two children, Sandra Zamot of Naugatuck and Gary Kuhn of Fairfield; a cherished grandson, Justin Kuhn; four brothers and sisters, Kathleen Bouchard of Cheshire, Jill Fitzgerald of Brooklyn, NY, Richard Kuhn of Fairfield and Jean Hughes of Brookfield; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Musty's life will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the SS Norden Club, 4 Seabright Avenue in the Black Rock Section of Bridgeport. All are welcome.
