Harry Edward Quick, age 74, of Fairfield, beloved husband of 40 years of Martine Quick, passed away peacefully Monday, August 8, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in New York City, the son of the late Harry Clifford Quick and Eleanor Biasotti Quick Celotto he had been a Fairfield resident for the last 46 years. Attended Franklin Pierce College, he retired as a sales associate and safety manager for Paraco Gas Company.
Harry loved boating, fishing, and spending time on the water. He would often allude to being on the water as being “closer to God”. Many years ago, Harry was the victim of a gas explosion and suffered extensive burns. Despite his injuries, and having limited use of his hands, he was never deterred from living his life to the fullest. He was always willing to help others. He was a supportive Husband and Father. He was also a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife Martine, include two beloved sons, Gregory Quick and his wife Larissa of Trumbull and Edward Quick and his fiancée Bianca of Fairfield; three cherished grandchildren, Roland, Winston and Eleanor; a brother, Thomas Quick, his wife Laurie, and their children Bradley and Kelsie of Fairfield. He was predeceased by his brother Gregory Quick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield. Interment will be private at Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in Harry’s memory to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, CT 06825.
