Helen K. Horvath

Helen Katherine Horvath passed away at her home in Fairfield on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of 103. She was born on October 16, 1915, in Bridgeport, the daughter of Martin and Frances Zelko, where she was raised and continued to live until 1951 when she moved with her husband, John J. Horvath, tool and die maker, to Fairfield where she devoted her life to her growing family and home. Helen was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, her son James, her son-in-law Dr. Joseph B. Grogan, and her sister and brother-in-law Mary and Clifford Nichols. She is survived by her son, John, and her daughter, Arlene K. Grogan, and her four children, Joseph Grogan and his wife Michele, Deborah Grogan, John Grogan and his wife Elisia, and Moira Roche and her husband Brian, eleven great grandchildren, JT (Mary), Christopher, Nathaniel, Kristine, Jessica, Joseph (Blaire), Caitlin, Mackenzie, Kayleigh, Ailish, Finn and one great-great grandchild, Caroline Elena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM meeting directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield.
