Helene C. O'Hara

Helene C. O'Hara, age 80, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully Monday February 1, 2016 in her home. Born in Bridgeport the daughter of the late Adolph and Helen Brazis, she had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. A graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, she was employed as an administrative assistant for local businesses including Gilroy & Gilhuly and also worked for a number of years for Jacques Cousteau. She was a member of the Gaelic American Club and loved to socialize with her favorite group of friends. Survivors include her beloved and devoted daughter, Maureen O'Hara and her companion Joe McCormack of Milford. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas O'Hara, granddaughter, Stephanie O'Hara and brother, Richard Brazis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church 149 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield.
