Henry J. Pauley

Henry John Pauley SR (papa), age 85, of Melbourne, FL. and a lifelong resident of Stratford, CT, passed away on Thursday, October 15th, 2015. Henry is predeceased by his wife of 54 years Mary Pauley who he loved dearly, and his mother Viola Pauley. He is survived by his brother Joseph Pauley and wife Cora Pauley, sister Leona Pauley and his 5 sons; Henry and wife Lucy Pauley, David Pauley and ( deceased wife Sherry Pauley), Daniel and wife Allison Pauley, Michael and wife Sullen Pauley, and Richard. In addition he shall be remembered by his 15 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Many know Henry to be a loving, and kind individual with good morals, that he developed throughout his life. He served his country proudly in the Korean War, he was awarded 5 Bronze medals, and a Silver Star for his valor. He was also a long time teamster member, and retired from Sikorsky. He devoted his life and affection to his family. To entertain with songs and stories, along with his magnificent yodeling. Overall Papa was a wonderful man who was passionate about his family. Papa will be greatly missed, however knowing that he is with God soothes our pain. In addition it also brings us peace to know that he is now reunited with the love of his life, his wife Pauley. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield with interment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
