Howard Lewis

Howard Lewis, age 75, of Washington, CT passed away on May 19th, 2024. Howard was born on July 27th, 1948 in Hartford, CT to the late Fred and Helen Lewis.

He graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1966 and Norwalk Technical College in 1968 where he majored in electrical engineering. He spent many years working at United Illuminating.

Howard loved sailing, woodworking, and spending time with friends and family. He was known by those who knew him best for never being without his Newfoundland dog. He loved Newfoundland dogs so much that he was a member of the Newfoundland Club for over 50 years.

He was predeceased by his parents. Howard is survived by his brother Gordon Lewis and his beloved dog, Skipper. He will be missed by family and friends alike.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 11am at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made in Howard’s name to a charity of your choice.
