Ida M. Calliari

Ida M. Calliari, age 93, of Fairfield, beloved wife of 68 years of David F. Calliari, passed away peacefully Friday evening, January 6, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Zafarana, she had been a Fairfield resident for over 50 years. Mrs. Calliari was an active member and volunteer at the Kennedy Center and a long-time active parishioner of St. Pius X Church. She loved to play Bridge and was accomplished in needlepoint. Predeceased by her son, Louis, she is survived by her beloved husband David; a son, David Peter Calliari of Norwalk; a daughter, Anne McKenzie Calliari of Easton; three grandchildren, Danielle, William and Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Amarissa and Meliya; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will be private. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
