Irene P. Bodie

Irene P. Bodie, age 73 of Fairfield, beloved wife of 50 years of Richard S. Bodie, passed away peacefully in her home after a long illness Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Born in Fairfield, the daughter of the late John and Irene Prion, Mrs. Bodie had been a lifelong town resident. A graduate of Andrew Warde High School, she was a 30-year member of the South Norwalk Boat Club, was a volunteer at the Norwalk Oyster Festival, a member of H.O.G. and the American Motorcycle Assoc. Survivors in addition to her loving husband Richard include four beloved sons, John Bodie and his wife Jeanne of Monroe, Donald Bodie and his wife Julie of Fairfield, William Bodie and his wife Sharon of Fairfield and Richard Bodie and his wife Joanne of Woodbury; a sister, Anne Korchman of Fairfield; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two nephews and a niece. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private. Friends may call Thursday (Today) from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J.
