Thomas Patrick Killion, 92, of Fairfield passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2025. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Kathleen Mackessy Killion.He was born in County Roscommon Ireland to the late Daniel and Ellen Donnelly Killion.
Tom emigrated to the United States as a young man. A talented carpenter, he had a long career helping clients & family. Tom served in the US Army, 34th Signal Corp in Germany. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. His greatest joys in life came from being amongst his family & friends. Tom will be remembered for his smiling eyes, humor, kindness, and always ready to help.
Tom built the family home & lived many years in Wilton CT & was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima. In recent years, he was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua in Fairfield.
Tom is the proud father of Christopher (Sherry Carmichael) Killion of Matthews NorthCarolina, Kathy Killion of Arlington, VA, Mary Ellen Killion of Reading, and Sheila Carey(Mike) of Fairfield, CT. He cherished the role of being grandfather to his tengrandchildren, Kelsey, Patrick, Ben (Abby) Killion; Ceili, Kiera, and Caitlin Stolecki;Conor, Brendan, Kathleen & Patricia Carey. He also leaves his cherished sister MaryArmstrong and sister-in-law Sheila Mackessy. As well as many beloved nieces,nephews, cousins & friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Christopher andJohn Killion & his wife Kathleen; his sister Margaret & her husband William Brennan,and brother-in-law Sean Mackessy & sister-in-law Sheila Mackessy Frawley.
Family and friends may visit at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd. Fairfield, on Monday January 20 from 3-5PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 21, 11AM at St Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Ave., Fairfield. Burial with Military honors will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity of New Haven Inc.
